Glass Half Empty?

What’s in the glass?

Milk, half full

Margarita, half empty

Coca-Cola, half full

Any kind of diet drink, half full

Coffee, half empty

Sangria, half empty

Ask a teen, “I don’t know.”

Ask a toddler, they spilled the glass

Ask a teacher, too full, no time for a bathroom break

  1. Haha. I love the different viewpoints here, from the toddler to the teacher. The last line really made me laugh. As a culminating activity in one of my teacher training classes, a group of us created a board game that represented the journey of a teacher. One of the spaces on the board was a toilet, but you weren’t allowed to land on it! Fun slice!

      1. This is EXACTLY what it was like! There was a clay toilet on the side of the path, but there was no way to get to it! 🙂

    1. Years ago, one of my teachers posed this question and I, of course, was labeled a pessimist. I. consider myself a realist though, so naturally, it was half empty because most people I know prefer a full glass, lol!

  2. This post would be a great opener for a lesson on perspective, along with “They All Saw a Cat”, for middle/ high schoolers! (Elementary kids may not get the alcohol references, lol.)
