I’ve discovered I don’t like drafting posts on my phone. Convenient, yes. It seems rushed, for me at least.
There was a time when I didn’t like drafting on my computer for the same reason. Pen on paper first, then transcribe it online.
Will there soon be a way to think a draft into existence without using a phone? Don’t answer that! And don’t let me go down the this -is-not-a-phone rabbit hole (because it’s so much more than a phone).
Okay, device. It’s a device. I don’t like using it for longer pieces of writing, but if that’s the case, then what’s there to say about my social media posts?

I don’t like writing long things on my phone, either! It just isn’t as quick or accurate for me. I send most of my personal emails from my phone, but if I need to write a long email or when I write a blog post, I always get out my laptop.

I’m glad I didn’t have to take my laptop and have the option to use my phone, but I’m glad to be back.

I agree. I write messages and have a few short posts now and then, but when I have to respond to student papers or even their long questions, I prefer a clunky old keyboard.

I don’t know that I’ve ever drafted a blog post on my phone–or even a long email. I make too many typos! And somehow I can’t think long form on a short form device!

I replied to several different people and everything I wrote disappeared

You pose many thought-provoking questions in this slice. I actually have been writing my slices by phone only this year! Didn’t realize that until I read your post. That will explain my typos 😉

I’m sure I’d become more adept at the phone version, but too many comments disappeared while trying to post them. So frustrating!
