These lines really hit me: “Are six words a cop out?/Six words are all I have”. I feel like I’ve been feeling this way a lot lately–“I can’t just do 6 words”–and have read a number of posts where people express not having words to write. Your post is a great model of how powerful 6-word lines can be. I’m going to rethink my reluctance to try this format. Hope the re-entry gets better quickly!
Such an earworm! I really like this format and had completely forgotten about it, so thank you for the reminder. Coming back after a break is challenging, but you’re right: by next week, you’ll be back in the routine.
Six words are better than zero…which is what I had yesterday! ;)

Yes, I got really close to zero, though.

Try it, the words will start flowing, as they usually do. This year has been harder for a reason I can’t explain. Sigh…

I tried to stick to only six words, but I let creativity do what she wanted to do.
